F.A.Q
Q: What is a fanzine?
Zines (derived from the word “magazines”) are self-published, non-commercial, non-professional publications created by individuals or small groups to share interests or ideas with others. Zines can cover a wide variety of topics and are often produced through low cost printing or DIY methods in limited batches. Fanzines similarly are self-published compendiums created to display a variety of work for a subject or theme in limited batches. Fanzines historically come from the same grassroots practices as indie zines and date back to the science fiction zines of the 1930s, but differ from indie zines in typically being not-for-profit and created by fandom enthusiasts with the purpose of celebrating what fans love. Contemporary fanzines are typically no longer made through DIY and low cost printing methods.Q: What charity will the profits go towards?
